I love a great bouquet! (From a photographer’s perspective, it will definitely make for a perfect accessory in your bridal portraits!) There are a few things to consider when choosing your wedding flowers… Figuring out all your wedding details is certainly not an easy task, but hopefully these thoughts share some insight!
You will be holding your bouquet in SO many photos. Be sure it compliments and enhances your bridal look. You have the perfect groom, venue, and dress so why not carry your ideal style through to your flowers! Your photos will absolutely be showcasing those blooms so don’t skimp out here! Treat yourself to something stunning on your big day, you won’t regret it.
Budget always comes into play when planning out your wedding details. We’d all have the most amazing florals imaginable if money wasn’t an issue, right? Don’t let a small flower budget leave you with a room full of carnations (unless they’re your favorites, of course!) You don’t always have to have an abundance of florals. Quality over quantity may be the way to achieve your ideal flowers. If you’re on a budget and can’t justify a high floral price tag, choose a few varieties of single stems to incorporate in vintage bottles on your centerpieces instead of including full bouquets. This way, you can still have the flowers you want without breaking the bank!
A great way to incorporate an abundance of flowers while also maintaining your budget is to shop local. If you’re able to find a flower farm in your area, you can usually get a TON of flowers for a much lower price than a specialized wedding florist. If you’re planning a wedding with a boho or garden theme, this option should provide you with the perfect floral match! If you’re in the Central PA area, Roots Flower Farm is a fantastic option. I’m a huge fan of supporting local businesses!
