Kaylyn & Michael had the most beautiful wedding day at Allenberry Resort! I had a conversation with Kaylyn about how she feels about the details of her wedding day & I think she explained it to a T!

She said, “I keep calling the theme for our wedding “Historical Romance.” I envisioned a historical estate location for the wedding as I have always been in love with all of the old limestone buildings around PA…The colors of those buildings and the surrounding farm land is something I wanted to incorporate in our styling choices with rich Hunter Green, and crisp whites and ivories, accented by hints of antique gold and brass. I never wanted anything to look overly fussy; but rather like it had been there for centuries.

I wanted to also bring in the glow of soft candle light via the table settings/centerpieces as a nod to the era. My parents thrifted each one of those candlestick holders at flea markets and estate sales right here in Carlisle, as well as the antique gold frames. It’s my hope that the design elements don’t create a new world, but instead simply heighten the already beautiful surrounding of my hometown – a place that I’m so proud to be from.”

They put so much time into planning this day to make it exactly how they always imagined it. Allenberry is a gorgeous venue and fit so well with what Kaylyn & Michael wanted. I felt so special to be a part of this day with them and all their closest family and friends!
