If you haven’t noticed, let me fill you in on a little secret—wedding trends are changing. More and more couples are opting for intimate, soul-focused days over extravagant celebrations, and I have to say, I am here for it! There’s something so special about slowing down, focusing on the love you share, and creating a day that truly reflects you as a couple.
Your wedding day should be about enjoying every moment together—celebrating, savoring, and soaking it all in. Sometimes, that’s easier to do with a carefully curated guest list that includes only your nearest and dearest. By scaling back, you can focus on what really matters: the start of your marriage.
Evan and Bridget chose exactly this type of day. Surrounded by all of their favorite people and the most beautiful atmosphere, they skipped the overwhelming parts of a traditional large wedding so they could fully immerse themselves in the joy of the day. It was the perfect balance—an intimate celebration without sacrificing any of the fun!
That said, big, extravagant weddings are not going out of style, and everyone loves a great party! But when it comes down to it, know yourselves and choose the style of celebration that works best for you as a couple.
